Sevenoaks Synchro took 11 swimmers to the Reading Royals Novice Competition on Saturday 18 June.
Amber Warrender was our only swimmer competing in the skill level 2 figures 13-19 age group. She performed very well and just missed out on a medal placing fourth.
Edie Coomer was competing in the skill level 0 figures 13-19 age group –She scored highest for the club in her somersault with a 5.24. With a total score of 48.31 she come home with the bronze medal.
We also took with us 9 new swimmers for their first ever competition. Izzy Crotaz was our highest scorer on the day in the back tuck somersault and had the highest overall score for our new swimmers with 40.80. Amelia Bell also had a great first competition with 5.30 in her inverted splits which is fabulous.
Those taking part on the day were: Amber Warrender, Edie Coomer, Izzy Crotaz, Emilie Williams, Amelia Bell, Bryony Anderson, Lucy Sadler, Katie Thomas, Scarlett Thomas, Eden Dyer and Amy Cameron.
We didn't enter a team routine as we have just started work on new routines for autumn competitions. We are working on a 12 and under team routine with our new swimmers and a 19 and under team routine with our older squad members.
Congratulations to all those who competed and thank you to all the parent helpers.
